These terms apply to all time spent on farm property and participation in activities including, but not limited to:
General Farm Risks
Working farms contain natural and man-made conditions that cannot be completely controlled. These risks may include:
Animal Contact & Zoonotic Disease
Guests may be exposed to farm animals or animal environments. Certain diseases, known as zoonotic diseases, can be transmitted from animals to humans. These may include, but are not limited to:
Activity-Specific Considerations
Certain attractions involve additional inherent risks, including:
Assumption of Risk
By choosing to enter the farm property and participate in activities, guests understand that they may encounter risks that are inherent to agricultural and recreational environments, including risks that may not be obvious or foreseeable.
Liability Terms (Summary)
To the extent permitted under Michigan law, participation in farm activities involves acceptance of the risks described above. Guests will be asked, through a separate waiver process, to acknowledge these risks and release the farm from liability for injuries or losses arising from ordinary negligence associated with participation in farm activities.
Liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct is not waived.

Working farms contain natural and man-made conditions that cannot be completely controlled. These risks may include:
- Uneven, muddy, wet, or natural ground conditions
- Weather-related conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, sun exposure, and lightning
- Insects, bees, wasps, ticks, mosquitoes, and wildlife
- Contact with plants, trees, produce, tools, equipment, fences, buildings, and other structures
Animal Contact & Zoonotic Disease
Guests may be exposed to farm animals or animal environments. Certain diseases, known as zoonotic diseases, can be transmitted from animals to humans. These may include, but are not limited to:
- E. coli
- Salmonella
- Campylobacter
- Cryptosporidium
- Ringworm and other bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections
Activity-Specific Considerations
Certain attractions involve additional inherent risks, including:
- Pick-your-own activities: cuts, scrapes, lifting injuries, and falls
- Playground equipment: climbing, swinging, sliding, jumping, and falling
- Corn maze: uneven footing, limited visibility, disorientation, and crowding
- Apple cannons or projectile activities: flying debris, ricochets, loud noise, equipment malfunction
- Wagon or tractor-pulled rides: boarding and exiting vehicles, uneven movement, sudden stops, falls, or collisions
