Spicer Orchards offers a unique variety of tour packages to meet the dyanmics of each group. Make this a memorable trip for your youngsters. School groups, daycares, preschools, cub scouts, brownies, girl scouts, church groups, birthday parties, and play groups can all enjoy learning about farm life by enjoying a day at the farm. 1. Are teachers free? What about chaperones?
Yes, Teachers are free.
No, Chaperones are the same price as children.
2. How long can we stay?
Your group is welcome to stay for as long as everyone is having fun.
3. Does our group have a designated place for seating?
We have 2 large covered pavilions with picnic tables. We also have a covered picnic table seating area in front of our market.
4. Where do we go to start our program?
There is a red barn with a sign on top of it at the top of our hill. This is where we leave for our orchard tour. There is a nice large parking lot where busses and cars can park and turn around.
5. Is there a place where kids can wash hands after being in the play area?
There is a portable wash basin for hand washing in the play corral. There are also hand sanitation pumps located throughout the play corral.
6. How should the children dress for a day at the orchard?
During warm weather T-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes are best. During the cooler fall weather jeans, long sleeve shirts, tennis shoes, and maybe even coats will ensure a comfortable day.
7. Is there time for browsing the market during our visit?
This depends on your schedule and your schools policy. The market is open for business during regular hours for all of our customers.
